January vs September specific Application question

Post by SullatheDictator » Wed Jan 17, 2018 6:56 pm

Hi all,

I have a specific question regarding the timing of my application submission.

My situation is the following:
-Working in a consultancy in Singapore since 2014
-LSAT Score: 176 (expiring October 2018); Superior Evaluation on Undergrad
- Applied to law Schools in 2015 (Got into Columbia, Penn, Chicago, waitlisted at Stanford and Harvard) but decided to stay working due to a promotion and apply to Law School at a later date.
- International applicant from Germany

Now I'm faced with the decision whether I should submit my application this week, very late in the cycle or whether I should wait and submit it very early in the next cycle.

Here comes my question:
Is there a significant drop in likelihood to get admitted if you apply this late in the cycle vs September? Is there any downside to applying this year (e.g. do schools look unfavourable on 3 time applicants) and next year in case I dont get into my target school?

Thanks for you help in advance!

Check mylsn.info it will break down admission chances based on app submission date.

Thank you!

Any guess as to how they would look at someone that reapplied three times?

Check the spivey thread. He answered a question recently about someone reapplying... I think he said if it was for a really good reason like a job opportunity it's understandable but still a bit alarming
