GPA Addendum

Post by bluntmeat » Wed Jan 03, 2018 7:17 pm

Hello! Would this be an acceptable addendum to include in my applications?

"During my sophomore year of university, I struggled with my choice of major in computer engineering and suffered academically during the fall and winter quarters. After repeated attempts to improve my situation, I decided to pursue a degree in business administration that was more in line with my own interests, skills, and goals. This change in academic pursuit coupled with growing maturity greatly improved my grades and resulted in an upward trend of GPA from that point onward."

No, don’t submit this addendum. It’s not a good enough reason to draw attention to your worse performance that year.

Thanks for the reply, I'll let the GPA increase speak for itself then!

That would be a bad addendum. And if your grades continually increased after sophomore year then that’s great.
