Can I withdraw ED and RD next circle

Post by andychen » Fri Dec 08, 2017 11:17 pm

I have applied GWU JD binding early decision and got the offer. But for some personal reasons I may have to give up that and apply regularly next cirlcle.

My question is whether my withdrawal will lead to a very negative affect on my regular application next circle ?

Thanks

It *might* affect your cycle at GWU if you get accepted and withdraw, but even that is unlikely. People do it all the time, and your numbers remain as desirable as they are this cycle absent another huge uptick of applicants that waters down the applicant pool.

If you were accepted ED at GWU (I'm assuming this is the scholars program that comes with full tuition?), can't you try to defer until the personal reasons work themselves out? If you really wanted GWU that badly, you should try that before you withdraw and try to apply again next year.
