Undergraduate medical leaves and admission

Post by Hamp11 » Thu Dec 07, 2017 8:39 pm

During my undergraduate education I had to take a semester off after my sophomore year due to multiple deaths in the family and a sick family member who needed support. A year later I myself had to drop three courses in a semester because of illness and then take the next semester off to recover. If I have a 176 lsat and a 3.75 gpa would I still be a competitive applicant for top law schools?

Yeah, you're an extremely competitive applicant.

Sorry to hear about your personal problems, but yeah, you're still a strong applicant. I would add an addendum in your application explaining the snags.
