Law Profs as recommenders

Hey everyone!

I am curious whether it's a significant benefit to have law professors write JD recommendations. The recommendations (from what they say) are glowing, which reflects how closely I've worked with them. My ambitions are to be in legal academia, if that helps.

My GPA is great, my LSAT is mehh, I'm URM, and my softs are fine.

Did these law professors teach you in class? How do you know them?
