C/O 2021 Final easy admissions cycle

Post by MrLions » Thu Sep 14, 2017 8:26 pm

In regard to GPA and test scores needed, this has got to be the final *easy* admissions cycle, right? LSATs are down, entering class stats are down, and schools are starting accepting the GRE (presumably in an effort to strengthen their entering classes by eliminating barriers to applying). So it seems like this will be a good year for those on the T14 bubble (3.6/167-8).

It's incredibly unclear what will happen. Just focus on a good app. After this year, it will not necessarily be easier to gain admission, but it will definitely involve more uncertainty as more schools potentially allow GRE in 2018 - 2019 onward.

I'd say that it's probably the final cycle that applicants should be thinking about bullshit metadata that they cannot control or predict.
