Can we finally update the archaic T13 letter breakdowns now. No more of this T3 and T6 nonsense.
Or simply the T4, T10, and T13.
Or simply the T4, T10, and T13.

Yikes. Are you really wanting to put UChi on the same level as HYS? Also, who are the losers that get relegated out of the T10?saf18hornet wrote:Can we finally update the archaic T13 letter breakdowns now. No more of this T3 and T6 nonsense.

Yeah, I mean Harvard is trying hard but I don't even feel that HYS should be a thing. It a very clear YS, HC split to me. I would say the bottom of the t13 are NU, Cornell, and then Berkeley should be like 25th IMO.Future Ex-Engineer wrote:Yikes. Are you really wanting to put UChi on the same level as HYS? The fact that Columbia maintained the exact same GPA spread, to the second decimal point, and NYU has exactly a 3.7/3.8/3.9 spread just shows that even in the T6 admissions is very engineered. Not that this is news.

Lol. Chicago is one of the best universities and law schools in the world, you don't have to put it on equal footing with Harvard to vindicate it.

I think it's more fun to see 0Ls make dumbass comments and then backpedal to "It was just a joke!" in less than a page.saf18hornet wrote:Haha, isn't that the whole point! Re: CLASS OF 2020 MEDIANS (LSAT/GPA/CLASS SIZE)
I feel like even if one is in LS or have graduated LS, they are no less/more qualified to speculate on the rankings of schools any more/less than 0Ls. You can only attend one school (withholding transfers), so it's not like someone can honestly compare the quality of education from the schools. We are all looking at the employment and bar passage rates, which doesn't require a law degree to do successfully. The fact that the person above posted something stupid has nothing to do with being a 0L, even though that is TLS's go-to insult.cavalier1138 wrote:I think it's more fun to see 0Ls make dumbass comments and then backpedal to "It was just a joke!" in less than a page.saf18hornet wrote:Haha, isn't that the whole point! Coming from the guy who's feelings got hurt because someone had the nerve to say NYU from the wasn't of the same caliber as Chicago.cavalier1138 wrote:I think it's more fun to see 0Ls make dumbass comments and then backpedal to "It was just a joke!" in less than a page.saf18hornet wrote: Haha, isn't that the whole point! Please note (for future reference) that when I refer to someone's posts as idiotic, it's not because my feelings have been hurt. It's because they posted something dumb. I hope that clears up any ambiguity.
ETA: Although I agree in retrospect with the above poster who pointed out that this has very little to do with you being a 0L. Your post was idiotic on its own merits.

Well, I hate to be the "Well, actually" guy, but...
Actually, the T3/T6/T14 grouping has less to do with a meaningful distinction in the "caliber" of the school and more to do with the fact that these 3/6/14 schools have been pretty consistently ranked in these bands over the past decade or so.
If you're letting the distinction between bands within the T14 determine what school you go to, you're doing it wrong.

Bingo!
School isn't like "5 is 3 better then 8 and "two worse than 3'"

Pretty certain that the 3.7/3.8/3.9 spread is because NYU rounded its GPA...Veil of Ignorance wrote:The fact that Columbia maintained the exact same GPA spread, to the second decimal point, and NYU has exactly a 3.7/3.8/3.9 spread just shows that even in the T6 admissions is very engineered.
