If I submit my app in November and my GPA is below median and .......

Post by Claire » Mon May 15, 2017 10:15 am

HI everyone. Just a question about GPA.

I decide to submit my application this November, and my current GPA is 3.87, which is below some schools' medians last year (UPenn, Chicago, Yale and Stanford).

After next semester, my GPA will raise to 3.91 (hopefully), which will be above all schools' medians except Yale.

I am wondering if updating my GPA in December help? Do I have disadvantages compared to those whose initial GPA is good and never update it?
Or is it a better choice to submit my application after all my final grades come (in mid-December I suppose)?

Thank you a ton!!

I'd submit as early as you can and just update after you get your new grades.
