How does this cycle compare to previous years?

Post by presidentspivey » Wed Apr 19, 2017 3:07 pm

This is the first cycle I've been following with any frequency as i get ready to take the LSAT in September and apply in the fall. I've heard across TLS that this has been a "strange" cycle. I'd be interested to hear how this cycle compares to previous years from those who have experienced/observed multiple cycles.

I feel like people think the cycle is super unique every year.

Most notable is a big drop in high LSAT scores so top schools are scrambling a bit more probably.

The consensus this year seems to be that the cycle has gone a lot slower. A ton of people are still waiting for an initial decision from T6 schools, for instance.

(President) Spivey seems to think there will be a ton of waitlist movement this year.

*shrug*
I bet next year will be SUPER WEIRD too.
