Hi all. I have recently decided to go to law school and have been studying for the LSAT. However, I have a big problem: I went to a school with NO GRADES. I have a long transcript which includes the evaluations received, but I have no grades or GPA. I tried searching for others in similar circumstances but haven't come up with anything.

Obviously LSAC won't come up with a GPA for me, but will they still issue me an academic summary? Can I get into a t14 without grades?

Thanks.

My guess is that it'd be like a foreigner coming in - you need to smoke the LSAT, at the very least.

Do the schools look at transcripts or rely on whatever reports/GPAs LSAC sends them?

I unfortunately went to a little school called Hampshire College.

They look (assuming you don't bomb the LSAT below their cutoffs), but it doesn't help (or hurt) their stats.

Just make sure you score 170+ if you want to have a chance at a T14.

Have you contacted LSAC? I'm sure you're not the only person from your school to apply to law school.

OP, i also had narrative evals.

cycle was pretty much what i expected it to be - admits where I should have been, reject for the same. I don't know how admissions evaluated them, but I didn't get in on LSAT alone to some schools, for sure.

I can answer any specific questions you have, prefer PM.

My days of not being taken seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

I had the same experience. The lack of traditional grades was not an issue in my admissions cycle, and played no role whatsoever in my job search.

Essentially yes, which is why I'm worried.

I think the most well known alums are Jon Krakauer (guy who wrote Into Thin Air and Into the Wild) and Ken Burns.
