When I emailed UCLA, they wrote back saying that they will be sending out fee waivers to qualified applicants all week.cmaas wrote:Does this mean that some schools like ucla may have multiple waves of fee waivers?

Yep. Are you registered through CRS in your LSAC account? Did you click that you want schools to be able to contact you? Does your account say that you are applying this year? And... is this your first year applying?s0ph1e2007 wrote:I have pretty high stats and have never gotten a fee waiver

Did FAMU actually give you a waiver? The email sent to me just said "Congrats, please look at us" and listed the application fee. Not that I was going to apply there anyways, but felt kinda miffed that I didn't get one...maybe they're trying reverse psychology on me.ohlawl wrote:Seton and Florida A&M came this morning.

Lol...now that I look over the e-mail it doesn't actually say that they gave me a fee waiver:edgarfigaro wrote:Did FAMU actually give you a waiver? It's not like I was going to apply there anyway....Congratulations on your recent success on the LSAT! As you explore your options for law school, we encourage you to take a closer look at Florida A&M University College of Law. You may apply to FAMU online or submit using our paper application. The application fee is $33 for online or $50 for paper submissions. Our fee is waived for FAMU students, FAMU alumni and LSAC fee waiver recipients.

I'm sure some schools will do CRS searches in the next week or two, if you haven't submitted your apps yet. (And you probably haven't because your score was put on hold, right?)s0ph1e2007 wrote:

As of Monday I had hidden waivers from Georgetown, NYU, and UVA.
No emails from anyone.
Only took the Oct LSATs if it makes a difference.

I have, because I already had a score and everyone's advice to me was not to wait...

A friend of mine already got a waiver from Columbia but he took the June LSAT. I hope they come out with more (soon) for the October LSAT takers.

Also, in regards to hidden waivers...I've checked some of my apps, and instead of a choice of how to pay like most of mine, it just says "App Fee of XXX dollars will be added to your shopping cart or enter individual waiver # here <text field>"
Is that a waiver, or is LSAC just screwing with me?

That's not a fee waiver. It will say that your fee has been waved because of CRS or something like that.edgarfigaro wrote:Also, in regards to hidden waivers...I've checked some of my apps, and instead of a choice of how to pay like most of mine, it just says "App Fee of XXX dollars will be added to your shopping cart or enter individual waiver # here <text field>"

Yep, that is LSAC telling you to pay up. And the only way possible is through their shopping cart.edgarfigaro wrote:Also, in regards to hidden waivers...I've checked some of my apps, and instead of a choice of how to pay like most of mine, it just says "App Fee of XXX dollars will be added to your shopping cart or enter individual waiver # here <text field>"

What I'd do is e-mail all the schools you have left saying you were not registered for CRS before, and ask for a waiver. Some might say to wait for their next search, but some might reply positively.s0ph1e2007 wrote: I have, because I already had a score and everyone's advice to me was not to wait...

Just received a fee waiver from Hofstra. Got one earlier from Seton Hall, but I think someone already verified that.\

If they follow last year's trend, they should be hidden today, e-mailed tomorrow.teaadntoast wrote: Aren't they meant to be coming out today?

Re: When To Expect Fee Waivers After October LSAT
Do schools happen to keep a list of people they send fee-waivers too, and then check it against people who actually end up applying? Because it would be awesome if a merit fee-waiver could be seen as a "boost" for an application.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
