Does anyone know if CRS reports your LSDAS GPA or just your self-reported GPA range from your LSAC profile to the law schools that are sending out these mass emails/fee waivers?

Followup question: do T14 schools require both an LSAT score and a LSDAS GPA in your file before they give you a fee waiver? Or is there anyone out there who's received waivers with only an LSAT score?

Not positive about the first question, but it does seem like schools can at least search for candidates that have their transcripts in.

It looks like people with LSDAS GPAs have received a lot more waivers, though without the GPA, you still may receive a couple.

I'm an international applicant so I have a blank LSDAS GPA. I still got a couple of waivers, with and without me requesting for them ...

I don't think the issue is having the GPA. I think it's about having your transcripts in. So you could be international, not have a GPA, have that ranking LSAC gives, and still qualify for waivers as you have transcripts in.

Also, as a lot of people with the same LSAT vary as to whether they get waivers or not, I'd say GPA normally has some part in it. For some schools you see people with 173/3.7 getting waivers while a 173/3.8 doesn't. Schools have different things they look for, according to the results we've seen.

Haha, me too. Oh Cooley. I'm not even applying this year.

Got a waiver from UTA. Do schools not notice I'm not applying this year? ...

Just got UMinn. So in case some people are still wondering, yes, some schools send out their waivers in waves. If you didn't get it Monday, for example, you might get it later in the week.

Ah, crap. When I wasn't getting any fee waivers, I thought it was cause of my GPA - then I realized I wasn't registered for CRS. Registered now, but missed a lot of the waivers that have gone out. What's an appropriate way to ask for one of these via email? And do folks with crap GPAs even get waivers? Too broke to pay out of pocket for all the places I want to apply to. :(

Got snubbed by Texas, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, Cornell, Emory. Strangely received waivers from NYU, Chicago, Penn, Michigan, UVA, Duke, Northwestern, UCLA, USC, WUSTL, Boston, Minnesota.

I think these fee waivers being sent out may have something to do with schools trying to emphasize either LSAT or GPA to move up in the US News rankigns.
