GPA addendum

Post by Xxxlawprospect » Thu Oct 25, 2018 1:03 am

Hello,

I suffered a concussion in the middle of a semester. I was unable to drop so the classes all reflect W’s. I thought I would be ready in the fall, but still had a hard time reading. I ended up getting F’s due to not dropping in time. Am I able to send the proof of my medical records? Before this I had a decent GPA, and after it dropped way low.

Thank you.

Your best bet is to see if you can get your college to change the Fs to nonpunitive Ws. Otherwise, you should definitely write a GPA addendum explaining your concussion (no need to include your medical records), but you should be aware that law schools will still consider you based on your LSAC GPA, which will reflect the Fs.
