Re: Pay for Proofread
$60-$100 is a bit much for two pp. I freelance copy edited (which is the industry term for the service you're seeking) in undergrad, and I charged $25/p., and I often, and I mean often, corrected objective errors in the previous work of less professional copy editors who charged more than I did. Thus, you must also be careful who you pick, not just what they charge. There are some in the market who can overlook a bad comma no matter what you pay them. I'm not plugging my services. I wouldn't have the time for this for two weeks anyway. But I'm saying be careful.
Of course, you could just study the rules of grammar and the arts of cohesion, cohesiveness, etc. yourself? It's really not rocket science. It's just being diligent. Are you lacking time?
I drafted a 40 pp. document of my copy editing method, and you're more than welcome to use it and ask me any questions. I can also read your doc. and give you some advice: whether you're really screwed and need to shell out big bucks or we could just quickly fix things for free. There is a mountain's difference between copy editing product from a skilled revisionist who just needs a second pair of eyes and copy editing product from an unskilled one who does not know what they do not know.
As a final note, professional revision is a skill that benefits you for a lifetime. I studied and learned it in about 100 hours. These skills will pay back tenfold, trust me!
ETA: oops, it was only 20 pp.: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Byp2m ... DlvbXFlekk.

Re: Pay for Proofread
I would just read up on the rules and do it myself. It seems a waste to pay $60-100 for a misplaced comma because I doubt that something like a misplaced comma will be the reason you are rejected.
