Writing out my personal statement today and I had a quick question.

Last year my mother (a well-known doctor in my region) was arrested for some fairly serious charges the day before I took my December LSAT, which in turn caused me to cancel my score and wait out another cycle. This year I am submitting my applications but was wondering if I should include in the personal statement how I overcame this incident, include an addendum on what happen that caused me to cancel the score and wait out a cycle or just not even bring up the incident at all?
