Post-application fee waivers

Post by sternc » Mon Jan 11, 2010 7:52 pm

Does anyone know if it is possible to get fee waiver refunds? I applied to a few schools that have since sent me fee waivers. Thanks.

Sadly, I don't think so. Read the emails/letters closely -- schools usually include something along the lines of "we can't offer refunds if you've already applied."

That said though, if they don't address the issue directly it can't hurt to email admissions :)

Yea, email them if they don't address it directly. I got refunds from Cornell.

+1
Cornell's fee waiver actually has instructions for how to get a refund if you've already applied. No other school that gave me a fee waiver had this.
