Class of 2011, what are your general short-term career plans (i.e., the first few years out of law school)?
Just want take a demographic poll prior to starting our 1L (which will be soon for some of us, with Michigan summer starting just around the corner), so we can come back in a year and reflect. Maybe you'll be well on your way to being all you wanted to be and can be proud. Maybe you will have received a dose of reality and change your plans. Maybe a professor will really inspire you and point you in another directioin. Maybe you'll get straight As and academia may be a realistic possibility. Who knows what 1 year in law school will do to our plans?
I'm looking at short-term plans because, for example, some people plan to go into biglaw to pay off loans then do something else after 5 years (ha, we'll see if that actually happens ) , etc.
(if you're planning on a clerkship, note what you want to do after the clerkship)
