Re: Boston University 2011
Does anybody know when the Fall 2008 book lists and class schedule will be posted on the website?
Also, found a great apartment on Cambridge Street, 1325 including utilities in a nice little complex that is pet friendly. I was extremely worried because I have a puppy but it all worked out! I can't wait to move in (6 weeks and counting)! If anyone wants the number for the apartment complex PM me.

Re: Boston University 2011
I stopped by the admin office last week and spoke with a lady who said that the first time we'd get all that stuff is at orientation on Aug 28. They'll give us our section assignments, section schedules, and book lists then. Actually, she said that Barnes and Nobles (the huge one by the kenmore station is technically the university book store, fyi) prepares boxes for first year students and sells them at orientation. All you have to do is tell them your section number, they hand you a box, and you give them about a thousand dollars. Sounds convenient for Barnes and Nobles.
Congrats on finding the apartment! is it a single or are you living with a roommate(s)?

I just got back from Boston and finished my apartment hunt. If anyone is in need of a great broker, you should go to Boston's Best Realty. In total, I was in touch with 5 or 6 realtors and these guys were clearly above and beyond the rest. They really hustled to find us what we needed.
Just thought I'd plug them a little.
When are you guys moving up there?

It will be myself, my boyfriend and my puppy living in the apartment.
We are moving in August 7th which is nice so I'll have time to get organized.
We really don't find out our schedules/book lists until then? I was hoping to have more time to prepare....do you think there is any way to get them earlier?

To find your section.....
http://www.bu.edu/law/central/
click on student link
then you have to sign in and go to class schedule.
I'm pretty sure its the sections. Mine says "LAW LA999 A1" and when I looked at last years first year schedule the sections were A1,A2,B1,B2,C1,C2.

Re: Boston University 2011
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the sections listed online are not our real sections. They are simply fillers for the purpose of billing. Our sections haven't even been determined yet. That happens at orientation. This info is from a very credible source.

Oh well, at this point they are just arbitrary numbers anyway, right?

Re: Boston University 2011
I was exagerating a bit, I don't think one section has them every day, but based on last year's 1L schedule that is somewhere online, some sections have them four days a week while others only have them twice.
I didn't buy a t pass yet. I will be living about a mile from school, so I don't know whether I need it yet because i hope to walk or bike when possible. When it starts to get cold out I will probably end up buying one though.

Re: Boston University 2011
Hi everyone,
Since I won't be in Boston this fall I am looking for someone to take over my lease. I have a 1 bedroom apartment at 1840 Commonwealth Ave. for 1250 a month. It is right where Commonwealth Ave. merges with Chestnut hill. A B line stop is a half a block away. I also has plenty of street parking. The lease starts September 1st, but I am leaving in August 18th, so you could move in on the 18th and have the rest of the month rent free. If the 18th won't work for you I could leave a few days earlier if needed. I know most of you already have housing for the fall, but perhaps someone here is still looking. PM me if you are interested. I can also send pics of the place.
