nope, you're screwed, nobody wants to hang out with youDadric wrote:I chose to live in the U-City/the Loop area, mostly because I really liked the apartment I found there and it was significantly cheaper, and according to the survival guide it's relatively safe and very close to campus, and there still seems to be some stuff to do in the area. Talking to a few people there, it sounded like even though it's not in the CWE, I won't have any problem taking full advantage of the law school social scene.

Living in U-City/The Loop just means that when we all go out drinking in that area and get too blitz to make it back to the CWE we will be forced to crash on your couch. Of course I expect the same situation in reverse when the "Loopers" party a little too hard in the CWE.Dadric wrote:Damn it, and I thought this would be different from undergrad...hwmyones wrote:nope, you're screwed, nobody wants to hang out with youDadric wrote:I chose to live in the U-City/the Loop area, mostly because I really liked the apartment I found there and it was significantly cheaper, and according to the survival guide it's relatively safe and very close to campus, and there still seems to be some stuff to do in the area. That, and we get to hang with some established 2 & 3ls. It'd suck if our upper classmates were all bookworms. Looks like they know to have fun from that soccer blog someone posted.

That's awesome! That has to translate to at least some degree to graduate students.

Agreed.That's awesome!
On an unrelated note, has anyone ordered text books yet? Or...seen a list of textbooks we'll need?

Although this list is not complete and we don't know which section we are in yet making it basically useless.

One of the people dropped the fantasy league, so if anyone knows someone in our class that wants to be in it, they better join as soon as possible.

Although I'll not be joining the TLS WUSTL Class of '11, I would like to have a chance to pick your brains once you've experienced some class time.
I've lived in Soulard (way cool StL neighborhood) for the last three years and may join you in '09. Let me know if you want to go to a Cardinal game or just chug some brews away from the storied Loop. Bottom line, if you're fun I'll let you hang out at my Mardi Gras party in Feb. This will mean something once you hear about our Mardi Gras.
Best of luck as you enter your law school career.
Joe

hey-
first time poster here - long time stalker... site has been incredibly useful time and time again... so its only natural that I'm turning here...
i'm a 1L at GULC and have Prof. Jane Aiken as my Torts instructor... however, she recently moved to GULC from washington university (st. louis) and has no past exams available for us here.
i was wondering if any washington university students would consider retrieving old Aiken-Torts exams and sharing them with me.
if you're willing to help me out, pm me.
thanks, i really appreciate it.
