NCAR says 100% chance of precipitation. I just don't want to commute to school in crappy weather, but I'm not gonna cheat.neskerdoo wrote:it may or may not affect me, depending on the approach the 90 other people in my class take to to the honor code...

It'll snow. But I don't see how this is gonna pose a problem:

It'll prolly dump hard during the exam and we'll all get sent home at like 3:00.

She'll prolly just grade what was completed, or if that's not enough, make us take the final as a take home or something.

Re: Cornell Law School 2011
teachers grading us for what we have is very problematic because... there's no common denominator for measuring which answer is good in relations to others.
finishing it at home might be a better choice but that's again hard because if you get stopped at, let's say, halfway while finishing your second essay, then you either have to restart that essay or guess where you left off because you can't access the previous test.

my hope at this point is that it snows, and we have a take-home exam that is due a little bit later than it would have been. I am willing to go up against people who might take advantage of the circumstances, but I sure wouldn't mind having another hour or two to try to get this stuff into my head...

Our prof has already said it is still closed book and will expect ppl to abide by honor code...I'd still rather take it at school, I'll focus better than at home. And, I dont want to get stuck here I want to go home.neskerdoo wrote:my hope at this point is that it snows, and we have a take-home exam that is due a little bit later than it would have been. If anyone needs the reassurance, I improved a good amount my second semester - much more than I thought was possible. There will be a number of people who were top 10% first semester who will think they know everything and slack off. Learn from your first semester results and build upon them.

Does anyone know the typical timeframe for hearing from Federal judges? Firms were generally prompt in requesting grades or sending rejections, but I've only heard from 1/53 judges so far.

Re: Cornell Law School 2011
Anyone care to share some advice? I'm applying next yr and am looking at a 3.42 GPA with an upward trend (3.0, 3.3, 3.9) and a 169 LSAT. Also, not URM, but south asian with a crazy story of how prejudice fcked up my teen yrs. Some decent softs and good internships in the journalism field and one in the law field.
Any guesses? Will I have a decent shot?

Anyway, yeah, 3.42 with a 169 and compelling story of overcoming difficulties/discrimination, .. I'd say you're competitive, yeah. I'd guess more likely in than not. Could go either way though.
