That is kind of an absurd number of people, especially compared to other schools. Wonder why only UM comes close to matching us?

Michigan TLSers trolled heavily early in the admissions cycle and convinced many splitters to opt for the ED route at Mich. UVa-bound posters had a little less success when they tried this tactic, but in the latter half of the cycle they were more diligent in using their steadily-growing forum influence to sway undecided site members toward their future school.

It's a freaking conspiracy, man. Son of those guys & gals would never have chosen UVa if it weren't for the PMs threatening their families...

I actually like the UVa-trolling on TLS; in fact, I probably did a bit of this myself even after I withdrew. I loved the school when I visited, and my favorite family member is there (I still haven't been able to bring myself to tell him I decided to go somewhere else), so it was certainly difficult for me to turn down UVa's offer. I just found a better personal fit elsewhere.
