Hello everyone,
So long story short - I am applying for a scholarship that is given to a few 1ls interested in PI. Short essay topic includes info re: disadvantaged background, interest in PI, and community involvement. This was 100% the focus of my personal statement submitted in my application.
I am wondering if I should refrain from just resubmitting the same essay. I am worried that it's going to sound 100% repetitive if I write a new essay, but also worried about the "apathy and audacity" that can be associated with re-submitting my personal statement for the scholly.
Any recommendations?

Don't resubmit the same essay. The people reviewing your scholarship application almost certainly will be reading your entire admissions file.
Pick a thread of your PS to expand on, or pick a topic that was a close runner-up for your PS. But don't submit the same thing.
