Declining a portion of the loan?

Post by Jlyyep » Thu May 18, 2017 5:38 pm

Hey all,

So the law school I'm attending offered a financial package that offered me a loan package that has loans that exceed the cost of tuition by itself. I can pay for the living/school expenses outside of tuition, and don't need to take that extra amount out with the loan — is there a way I can decline that amount of money from my unsubsidized loan?

Thanks!

Yeah, you can just choose the amount you want when accepting aid for the year. The high end is just the amount you qualify for.
