CSS Payment

Post by lula43 » Wed Mar 01, 2017 8:59 pm

Hi all,

How, if at all, can I not pay $16 per application? I'm appalled by this.

Thx

Don't think so - I had an LSAC fee waiver last year and still had to pay that fee dispite the actual app fees being waived. Also, CSS price last year was $30 ... did it go DOWN in price?

Hmm, okay. How did you decide which schools to do CSS for? Or did you do all?

I'm even more appalled by having to pay this for schools that I haven't even been admitted to!

Good point, haha. I didn't even realize that.

It's Cornell's first year using CSS, and they said they are working on getting waivers in place next year fwiw. I think of it as the cost of doing business, since everyone who's filling one out is already admitted (i.e., don't see the use of filling one out pre-admission).

Oh shit, my bad.

OP - Yes those CSS fees were annoying but turned into $60k of financial aid for me. Keep your head up.
