The federal government makes loans up to the cost of attendance. Plenty of schools now cost $200k+ to attend.MyopicVisage wrote:I'm just curious. How do you accrue more than 200k of debt? Most banks I talked to have an aggregate loan limit of around 180k for law school. And this includes everything you've borrowed (private and federal).

Do any of you guys have significant UG debt? I'm going to graduate with ~$50k and I'm wondering if I should just shoot myself / flee the country now instead of waiting until after law school.

Idk if I made the right choice with undergrad or not. I get a decent scholarship at a well-regarded (but expensive) public school in my state, but I probably could have done college debt-free if I had lived with my parents and commuted to a local state school. 20/20 hindsight I guess. Eighteen-year-olds really aren't qualified to make life-changing financial decisions like this, or at least I wasn't.

Don't worry, I chose to major in political science, so obviously I wasn't qualified to make any decisions of import either.jkhalfa wrote:Idk if I made the right choice with undergrad or not. I made the same dumb decisions. 10/10 someone should have intervened for us.jkhalfa wrote:Idk if I made the right choice with undergrad or not.
