I had my interview last week. It's about 30-45 min and pretty relaxed they want to go all through your resume so be mindful of what you include. Additionally have answers for why NU, why law, and if you want the committee to know something about you that's not included in your application what is it. And as always have like 1-3 questions to ask them. Good luck!

Took LSAT for the first time today and I'm not too confident in my performance. I am debating whether I should cancel, but since law schools only focus on the top score, the one they have to report, there really isn't any point in canceling right?

Yeah, I don't see any benefit in cancelling because it won't matter in the end if you end up scoring higher. Also, there's almost always no correlation between how you feel you did and how you actually did so maybe you hit your goal today!

I agree. I took it today, and I was one of the FEW people of color there, and mind you I live in Chicago..

Hello checking in! MA here. Can someone please make me feel less horrible about moving apps back and applying as soon as December LSAT scores are released? I just want to get into a good school but the way I feel about this September LSAT ain't making me feel so good.

Same! I read online that applying after December scores are back isn't the end of the world, since a lot of admissions people don't review apps over winter break. I say if you're going to retake, get everything else in order so that when your December scores are in you're ready to submit all of your apps already!

Yup, that's what I was thinking. I'm going to wait for the September scores to be released then decide from there. But planning vigorously now that I don't have to focus so much on this darn test.

December will be my first LSAT and I've been using The LSAT Trainer (16-week study schedule) for my foundation, Manhattan Prep for LR and RC to target my specific weaknesses, and 7sage/lsathacks for general advice on how to improve my speed on the different sections. Unfortunately I can't say how effective these have been since I haven't taken a real LSAT yet, but I feel more and more confident with every day that I study.

For what it's worth I kinda find standardized testing cute but I'll let that slide

I basically did the same thing as saffles. I used PowerScore for LR (my weak section) and LSAT Trainer for general overview. I could have been better about keeping track of my trends (didn't keep track of missed questions in a bank or having a running test average and I never really got much out of blind review), but I think my general approach worked. I would still recommend doing that data tracking though. I feel like I could have mastered LR if I made myself be diligent about it I drilled questions and didn't move on until I figured out why I got a question wrong. And I took many full 5-section tests and would regularly do two or three sections at a time otherwise, which was important for my stamina on test day.

THANK YOU! I posted this same thing a while ago and got weird responses questioning why I wanted a URM response as opposed to a normal white person's response lol. But I know the experience just isn't the same thus I preferred a response from a person of color.

Nonetheless: I used the trainer for a general overview. I think it's really good for anyone that's just starting off and I really enjoy it's LR section and Games section.

I also supplemented with the Logical Reasoning Bible from Powerscore mostly because it's my worse section. But it was really helpful to have things broken down my question type and in depth.

I also took a Blueprint in person course ( which to this day am pretty iffy if I would recommend) and I continue to pay monthly for their online resources that I really enjoy. I use their "practice" section to drill questions by type, and review after with their explanations.

I haven't been able to find anything good for Reading Comprehension ( and am open to suggestions) but will probably be in the market for one since my LSAT performance yesterday was.... Lol

I used Blueprint in person course but I agree with the poster above, the in-person is an iffy choice. I would definitely have preferred just the online content as I learned more from that. Some of my other friends really enjoyed 7sage. I also ensured that I took at least 12 practice tests to build stamina and speed.

For me 7Sage was the best. I think it depends on the on the person and how you learn and comprehend material. I had used Manhattan Books and The LSAT Trainer but I found 7Sage to be the best because I loved the built in analytics function within the online course. I also liked their LR and LG explanations as opposed to the books I used. I did like the Manhattan Books and I could have taken or left The LSAT Trainer but I really enjoyed JY and his explanations in 7Sage. Plus I liked the community of people who were also studying and reviewing the material as well. They would ask questions and also answer personal questions for each other. It was a good support system because we were all going through the same thing.
