Checking in! AA/Hispanic with a 3.7 and some uncommon work/volunteer experience. Shooting for a 165+ in September! I'd be happy with any T14, but T6+Berkeley are the dream.

Took me a couple hours to write both of my first drafts. Taking infinitely longer to get to my second drafts.jimmyneutron wrote:How long does it take to write a DS/PS (also "why X" essays)? I feel like starting now but might want to wait a little.

Checking in. Black with ~3.8 and a 173. HYS is the dream so I'm debating whether I should retake or just work on my essays and hand everything in super early. Hope everyone has a great cycle!

Unless you have C&F issues you are very likely good to go. No need to retake at allselmangh wrote:Checking in. Black with ~3.8 and a 173. HYS is the dream so I'm debating whether I should retake or just work on my essays and hand everything in super early. Hope everyone has a great cycle!

c/o 2020 but i wanted to pop in and respond: it's different for everyone, but it took me probably 2 months and some change. if you're finished with the LSAT, get started now so you don't rush it. LS admission is way more than a numbers game for URMs so take it seriously and be thoughtful and strategic. good luck, everyone!jimmyneutron wrote:Out here.

Re: URM 2017-2018 Cycle Thread
Hello fellow URMs!
I'm a black Canadian who will be heading to Yale this fall. TLS (and in particular the URM community) was a huge help for me during my cycle, so I'm hoping I can give a little back.
I have no special insight into the admissions process, but I'd be happy to share my experience with the LSAT, personal statements, etc.
Good luck to all of you!

Also an applicant from last cycle (and the cycle before that) willing to help and answer questions. I can also talk about SEO and I encourage everyone to apply.
Good luck.
