I am a Texas resident and looking to apply right when apps open.

Seems like a close call based on LSN: http://texas.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats/1617texas96 wrote:Looking for chances at UT Austin, this school is my top choice.

Maybe consider retaking the LSAT--you could end up with a good scholarship by adding a few points.

Thanks for the link, had not seen the graph before. Will likely end up having to take my chances due to conflicts with september test datesBulletTooth wrote:Seems like a close call based on LSN: http://texas.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats/1617texas96 wrote:Looking for chances at UT Austin, this school is my top choice.

It might be a close call, so focus on making your app as strong as possible. I was accepted to UT with slightly lower numbers (though I did have a lot of work experience). If you ever want to talk about your application just let me know.

In addition to retaking, another thing to consider is not going K-JD and getting some work experience. Showing your ability to succeed in a professional setting could be something that pushes you over the edge. I don't know your personal situation, but that might be something to consider.
