Yeah, it definitely requires you to be pretty brief. But considering a lot of the earlier applicants got an email when they re-did the template asking us to resubmit it as one page its worth it to just get it out of the way.
I'm glad it's an easy to edit format. That sucks that you had to re-do it.

My brother got his MBA. He taught me to always keep your resume one page. That people don't have time to read more than one page.

Agreed. Just use their template

Has anyone tried to change their location preference after their interview? I want to switch locations, but I'm not sure the best way to do this.

To the best of my knowledge (and I would double check with the recruiter who visits the site on this) what they see is whatever your "active" application is. So you should just be able to switch the order, or add a city. I have no clue how this affects anything though.

Most of us will end up in NYC tbh lol. But I changed my top choice as well so I'm curious if anyone has an answer

I want to switch my location preference from Atlanta to NYC. I have already interviewed, so I want to make sure that I notify the appropriate people.

is it a bad sign that my interviewer never even asked me which two partner firms I liked/would want to work at in the future? I had this whole speech ready about why x firm is really the best firm ever ever ever (I'm actually obsessed with this firm) and welp, didn't get to give it.

worried that my heavily-PI oriented personal statement/essay will get me the boot. I looked hella good for my interview, tho!

If I were you, I'd start by changing it on the application. I switched mine from nyc to Chicago (because I plan on attending LS in Chicago and want to stay there after graduating) and I'm thinking about sending a little blurb explaining why sometime soon (once I deposit, probably).

I hope its not bc I didn't get asked either. That was the part of the interview I prepped for the most :|

Doubt it. I don't think they'd waste their time interviewing candidates they don't think are strong candidates for the program

Maybe after doing the first few interviews they decided it wasn't a question worth asking anymore since our preference doesn't matter much

Also depends on the market. The two cities I listed only have two partner firms. lol

Three questions: 1. Would it be cheaper to sublet or airbnb? 2. If the answer is airbnb, who's ~possibly~ tryna get in on splitting airbnb costs - and would we have to pay it all up front???? 3. Completely unrelated to the previous questions but... For those people who end up at a firm outside of NYC, does anyone know if there's a gap between the two weeks (or whatever it is) for the fellowship portion and when we have to start at the firm since people would have to head to a different state - or is it just like.. a weekend? lol

I never got an e-mail confirmation. The time stamp is the confirmation.

Are you sure that you completed all parts of the application?

Yup! I got confirmation and everything. When I contacted them in February, they said that my application did not get transferred to their new site. I re-completed the application mid-February and have still received no response. It's truly bizarre!

I mean...I am not trying to be all indignant, but I thought I'd at least get an interview lol I have a decent resume
