Downward trend or upward trend? Any reason for the low grades?greatspirit wrote:Along the lines of the recent poster...
So my LSAC GPA is a 2.92, and on my transcript are a few 1.0 range grades - despite everything averaging out to a non-horrendous GPA, should I be worried about the presence of those super low grades on my transcript?
Good to see you on here .brinicolec wrote:Downward trend or upward trend? Any reason for the low grades?greatspirit wrote:Along the lines of the recent poster...

I think it's more frowned upon when it's a downward trend (which I had for various reasons I didn't explain to adcomm lol). I also think it's one thing if you were just messing around and goofing off instead of doing work vs. some sort of thing going on in your life that interrupted the normal flow of things for you that you can explain to adcomm. Anyone else feel free to correct me/add on though.
I pop on every now and then.Mr_Chukes wrote:Good to see you on here .brinicolec wrote:Downward trend or upward trend? Any reason for the low grades?greatspirit wrote:Along the lines of the recent poster...

At 34:25 he says 125 African-Americans scored over 170 in the last cycle. Huge disconnect from what has been said in this thread...Aspire wrote:This is an interesting video for anyone who has time...

It seems like the scores of black test-takers aren't normally distributed.
This video has been uploaded in 2010. Many things can change in 8 years, which is why I asked if anyone has new data in order to see what it takes for a Black student to be at the topAspire wrote:This is an interesting video for anyone who has time...

It was re-uploaded in 2016. The original from the actual UVA Law channel was uploaded in 2010.AaronCarter wrote:It was uploaded in 2016
I didn’t realize it was originally a 2010 video. Applications are down since then.BrainsyK wrote:It was re-uploaded in 2016. The original from the actual UVA Law channel was uploaded in 2010.AaronCarter wrote:It was uploaded in 2016
