Having prescreening (or 50% prescreening) isn't inherently bad.

Not well because of the economy, but probably about the same as other schools.

Anyone want to give some thoughts on this past years OCI?

Some people have jobs, some don't. There aren't official statistics from Career Services yet thus nobody really knows how bad it actually was. From what I've read, it doesn't seem like any CSO at a top school has released this information.

Based upon an unofficial poll on a law school blog, 48% of people have a BigLaw SA, about 10% have a small firm job (whatever small means), and 3% have a public interest job. The rest don't have anything. This seems comparable to Duke where it was apparently leaked (according to XOXO) that 89 out of 200 people don't have jobs (45%). Granted, the law UVA school blog is unofficial and it's questionable how many people read it, and the Duke information is based an unverified conversation.

What did you want to know?

Just the general feel that people coming out of OCI have, I want to do BigLaw so its just interesting to see what the percentages and results are.

The nickname is a back-formation from the school's yell, "wa-hoo-wa."

The yell was invented as an Indian yell for Dartmouth College by Dartmouth student Daniel Rollins in 1878. Corks & Curls, the University of Virginia annual, regularly printed lists of the yells and colors of the various colleges; in 1888 it included Dartmouth's school yell, a part of which was the phrase "wa-hoo-wa." University of Virginia students soon incorporated the phrase "wa-hoo-wa" into their own, longer school yell, and individual U.Va. fraternities also adopted it and modified it. (It was common for "student culture" to travel: the University of Illinois also adopted "wa-hoo-wa," and the tune of the Yale "Boola Boola", for example, became the basis of the "Boomer-Sooner" song of the University of Oklahoma.) (Dartmouth students, meanwhile, largely stopped using the Indian yell during the 1980s along with the accompanying Indian mascots, symbols, and nickname.)

More serious than kegball.

then again, if this person hasn't seen a kegstand, they haven't experienced feb club, so that view is a tiny bit uninformed at the moment.

How does one go about forming a team in the fall? Just by sections? What about in the Spring for the National Softball Tourney?
