Really hard to say without an actual lsat score. Are you a few years out or are you coming right out of UG? What's your major?

i am taking it in sept. 09. i got a 163 without really studying, and one bad section plus careless mistakes killed me. i have been seriously studying for this test, so my score should significantly improve. i have 2+ yrs of full time WE with juvenille delinquents.

Really hard to say without an actual lsat score.

I had a 3.3/172 and am at gulc. Work hard to get another couple points on the lsat. What are your softs specifically? Nothing personal, but most people think they have strong softs, and 90% of them are wrong.

That low of a gpa is seriously hard to overcome. Get a 170+ and cast a really wide net.

i am male, not a URM, and i don't have a "good" reason for my low gpa (sickness, death, etc)...it was just a combination of immaturity and lack of direction. there is a slight upward trend, but not drastic. i should get very good letters of rec talking about my work ethic, personal character and growth since i've started working. i also hope to address the work ethic question by pointing at substantial WE information (800+ hrs of overtime worked per year). hopefully, my LSAT will answer the ability question.

NU is kind of my dream school...do i have a shot? what other schools should i apply to?

You get overtime at your job? Blue collar work, I presume? I'm not sure how much NU loves that. Like I work that much "overtime" if you're basing a regular week on 40 hours, but I don't get paid for it...

So is being a paralegal blue collar? Paralegals get OT.

I work with juvenille delinquents at a treatment facility. I am basically a corrections officer/counselor. It is pretty intense work...so hopefully more impressive than pure manual labor to an admissions committee? It's not boring, that's for sure!
