Minnesota v Boston U

Post by boazwi95 » Thu Feb 01, 2018 7:02 pm

I have received full tuition scholarships from both University of Minnesota and Boston University. I am interested in doing white collar prosecution at the federal level. Which school is a better choice?

Easy. Just pick the law school which is higher ranked by US News. :D

Boston is a bigger legal market. That said, go where you'd rather live for three years. The difference between these schools is not enough to overcome that.

The career prospects at both are about the same. I think the real question is if you're OK staying in MSP. If you are, the cost of living benefits favor Minneapolis imo.

Full Disclosure: I'm a UMN grad and current federal law clerk with similar career aims.
