Depends. Whose perspectives are you concerned about? And what outcomes do you want?

More public law - working for the State (PA, MD or VA) or Federal government.

I was just curious how it stacked up regionally. Admitted, but waiting on other schools still.

You aren't going to be working for the fed govt. Full stop. Neither will you be working anywhere other than central PA. Not MD, not VA. Central PA.

If you aren't cool working as a DA in a small central PA town, then you shouldn't go there.

Well, if you want to work for local/state gov't in that part of PA, it's probably pretty good. If you want to work in a different state, it's probably pretty bad. And federal government jobs are not likely at all.

Penn State is a regional school. If you want the flexibility to work in Virginia or Maryland, you need to go to a school that has reach into both those areas.

Attended Penn State Dickinson and have worked in fed government for 10 years. It is doable if you are open to different types of agencies and jobs.

Thanks for the feedback - any anecdotal examples and are graduates exclusively tied to the Central PA area for employment outcomes?

I work at Dept of Vet Affairs in DC. There are a fair number of PSU people here. You can also make a go of it in DC. What you have to do is get on USA Jobs and apply for every entry level attorney advisor opening. I got my job from USA Jobs only. I did not have inside connections or references from PSU. It is more of a quantity game. I applied for 2 or 3 paralegal specialist jobs prior to submitting my successful application for a VA job.
