ND vs. Retake

Post by nufmgaiw » Sun Jul 09, 2017 2:52 pm

After a June retake (164) at 3.85 GPA, I was moved off of the ND waitlist with $100k scholly. I want to work NY biglaw and realize that is a risk from Notre Dame. I don't have any competing offers now, but I will contact Fordham on Monday to see if they will match or exceed. ND is a great name with portability, but I'm wondering if they'd hold it against me if I reapplied next cycle. I'm not sure that I can beat my highest LSAT score, and it would be my third take.

ND isn't a bad school, but you want biglaw so I say retake.

Definitely retake. A few more points and you can probably get $$$ from Cornell.

I would say ND is a good school, but NYC BigLaw is much more doable from Cornell.
