GW (75k) vs Cardozo (Full)

Post by HabsLawyer93 » Tue May 23, 2017 11:40 pm

Got just under a half scholarship to GW law and full scholly to Cardozo. Long term would like to go into politics, but after graduation hoping to work in BigLaw for a few years. Not sure what to do...feedback would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Neither are great options for your goals (speaking strictly about Biglaw, which isn't even touching the entire discussion of why politics is a bad goal for a JD). What are your LSAT/uGPA? You're either paying $150k+ for ~40% chance of your desired outcome or $60-75k for ~25% chance of your desired outcome. Those aren't good odds in the forced curve game of law school.

Don't go to law school.

And if you really want the thrill of working in biglaw for a few years (which will also be largely useless for your long-term goals), don't go to either of these schools.
