OP--you might consider adding to the title an invite for 0Ls to come in and read this thread.
Last summer a dude from pitt told me they had a 95% employment rate so he wasn't worried about finding a job. There are just still a fuck ton of uninformed law students

I didn't have the heart to correct him. I just told him he should check out this little site called law school transparency

You should probably just tell him to drop out because he's fucked.monsterman wrote:I didn't have the heart to correct him. I just told him he should check out this little site called law school transparency
When paralegals at my firm ask me if they should go to law school I straight up tell them no if they are paying for it. So far, I have helped to prevent 3 paralegals from going to law school...

Really appreciate the schools that have already released this info. Why are so many law schools hiding this info from us? Deposits (for 0Ls) are due next week for many schools and it would be nice to have the latest info (not expecting dramatic changes, but still).

They're not hiding it per se. They release this information based on deadlines provided by the ABA. Today was the deadline for schools to submit the info to the ABA. This means that all schools technically already have this information. But the ABA gives a different deadline for schools to publish this information on their websites--April 15, I think. Remember the people posting this info are just workers... Not very many people turn in stuff before they are required to...

Funny thing is my school is doing a "State of the Law School" on the 14th. Im sure this is to tell the whole student body about the statistics.zot1 wrote:They're not hiding it per se. Would love for UT to get the edge on them this year and give more precedent for UT getting into T14. I think last year was something like 46% BL + fed clerks for UT and 48% for GULC.cannibal ox wrote:Tag for UT/GULC (non) rivalry.

Anyone who makes a law school decision on the basis of a non-statistically-significant one-percent change either direction is crazy regardless, so *shrug*

In sharp contrast with the overall law school-attending population.Serett wrote:Anyone who makes a law school decision on the basis of a non-statistically-significant one-percent change either direction is crazy regardless, so *shrug*

You don't get it, Serett. Sub 75 is Michigan territory...Serett wrote:Anyone who makes a law school decision on the basis of a non-statistically-significant one-percent change either direction is crazy regardless, so *shrug*

Pretty fucking crazy that the top schools are getting 75%+ BL/Fed Clerkships whereas most schools ranked under 30 can't even get 75% FTBPR jobs

46.44% to 48.40%, UT to GULC, not that I'm keeping track or anything.favabeansoup wrote:Would love for UT to get the edge on them this year and give more precedent for UT getting into T14. Looks like Michigan's 100+ Firm + FC is 61%. LTBPR sitting at 85%.

Re: Class of 2015 Employment Statistics by School
Keep classes around 290-300 and you're looking at 70%~ which is in line with the rest of the T14.
