I have searched and been unable to find this thread for 2012 - anyone wanna help me out?

And does the "attrition" just count drop-outs, or does it include transfer-outs?

Sorry for the delay. I'll try to pull the new COA numbers tonight.

Edit: Looked for the new COA numbers and they can't be found. All I know so far is that Harvard is up (+$3k) and Yale is up (+$1.5k), although Yale's tuition did drop by $700. COL made up the difference; I guess New Haven is becoming the hip place to live.

I'll check in again during the fall with new updates. In the meantime, if anyone wants me to edit the OP, send me a pm.

NYU doesn't expect a pro bono tons of people don't

Why is Stanford on this list 6x? I mean, I can add it, but I'm not sure I understand. And what do you mean by expect? Is it "Lots of people do it" or "The school requires it"?

Just a common complaint (the pressure that comes from assuming 1Ls will participate in pro-bonos and journals since they are available first quarter), and I don't think that people tend to consider this when picking a school.

Finally updated. Let me know if anyone has data on 1L pro-bono/journal expectations for the missing schools.

Georgetown LRW is graded and it sucks balls.

LRW can be a massive drain on your time, especially relative to its weight on your GPA (at H its only 2 credits/semester). In general though I think the idea is not that graded LRW is particularly horrible, but that ungraded is really nice.

How low the percentages of students with half-tuition scholarship or greater is alarming

I just came across this thread for the first time and am bamboozled by how helpful the OP is. I don't use that term lightly. Having student to faculty ratios, LWR gradings, etc all in one place is awesome - just want to say thanks!

Fair warning, the info is now one year out of date. I'll try to update it all after finals, though.

I agree with this, but I do think, depending on what you are good at, graded LRW can be a good thing. Some people are better at LRW than exams, and so having another avenue toward a good grade that doesn't depend on a single exam can be a plus. It diversifies the risk a bit. That said, 2 credits is very dumb. It is a lot of work and should at least be 3.

Is "transferring out students" included in the attrition rate?

I would echo these same comments above from jbagelboy

To not do so would drain integrity from the system and deprive students of a level playing field.
