Does LSAC usually release scores before or after Christmas? I know last year the Dec. scores were released before.

That would be nice. A present.

In 07 it took ~19 days to get the Dec scores... Dec 1 to Dec 20th. If we assume that the average time to score Dec exams is 19 days (which we really shouldn't), then we can expect our scores Dec 23.

But if the score takes even one day longer... we won't get them until after the 25th. Possible not til after the 1st.

Bad logic.

Check the larger thread on score releases for more discussion, but it looks like in the last 5 years it has come out before Christmas 4 times, however the one time it came out after Christmas was last December's LSAT.

Certainly wishing they come out before!

We have to hope for 18 days. We took it on the 5th and they are closed on the 24 so their last day is the 23rd.

No way they will come out before Christmas. Some people haven't taken the December LSAT yet. They have to be included in curve calculations I would assume.

People have gotten scores when the office has been closed. I'm betting before the new year, but after christmas.

The test is precurved and they will not be taking the same test as us.

Two different tests... however, I could see that messing us up because apparently those testers in Texas have been promised the same release date as those of us on the 5th.

I really doubt running a (relative) handful of tests through a machine a few times would show them down that much.

I hope LSAC overnights the tests from the test center to their headquarters then...

Quit dreaming. Scores will most likely show up the week after Christmas.

I guess I don't understand....how can an exam be precurved?

Either way....I'm not really in a rush to see my 150. On the blood pressure machine or in an email from LSAC ;)

All the sections have been used as experimental sections in previous tests so they know how people do on them.

While I do have hope it will come out before Christmas, I keep telling myself scores won't be posted until after Christmas. At least that way I won't be too terribly disappointed if it doesn't happen. And then I can spend a bilssfully ignorant Christmas thinking I got a really good score :)

Sept exam I came on here and found out the scores were coming out a little early. Instead of being surprised, I spent the whole day refreshing my LSAC account.

No. The late testers in Texas have been promised that their scores "will not be delayed", which means that they will receive their scores no later than the official release date of January 4th 2010.

Nobody has promised them that they'll have their scores on the same day as other testers, however! In fact to the best of my knowledge, nobody at LSAC has promised anybody that they'll receive their scores on the same date as anybody else. If they wanted to, they could release 98% of the scores tomorrow, but hold the scores of suspected TLS posters until January.

("TLS? Nope, I've never heard of it!")

I interviewed with an admissions dean the other day. He told me he used to work at LSAC and I am proud of myself for holding myself back from shouting "omg tell me tell me, when are scores coming out?!"

Really want this score =/
