I know this is highly recommended. A couple questions:

1. Are the supplemental materials like the workbook REQUIRED?

2. Anyone with any specific advice on the best way to tackle the book before Feb. 6th? Or just read it cover to cover like anything else?

Thanks!

1. No, those supplements are just there to make extra money for PS.

2. Consult Pithypike's guide to scoring 160+. He covers more than just the LGB, but you should get an idea of how to use it. Get all the old LSAT books, make 3 copies of each game, and then arrange them by type. After you read the Basic Linear chapter, do basic linear games for a while before you move on to the next chapter.

I would read it cover to cover and work the problems that are in the book, obviously, while you are going through it. I didn't get any of the workbooks but I'm sure they would be a big help. I know the more practice I got the better I understand my strategy. I got all my practice from doing the LG's in the PT's.

Thanks. Problem is, I have practiced from lots of newer PT's, and I just fall flat on my face. I think a lot of problem is that I can't recognize what type of game I am looking at unless its an obvious sequential type game where I can draw basic relational x - y - z style diagrams. They also tend to throw me a bone with one or two structural rules. And I can do some in/out stuff, though I often don't know they are in/out until its too late.

I am hoping the PS LG Bible will help me to know, first and foremost, WHAT TYPE of game I am looking at within a few seconds of reading it. That will help me a lot. Then I can get my brain in that mode of thinking. Hopefully.

Anything involving a "circle" I just skip, and thats just ridiculous. I figure I can only get better by reading it.

I just started it last week and am planning to take the February lsat but may delay until June if I feel I'm not ready. Feel free to PM me and we can work through it together and bounce ideas off eachother. Sort of a study buddy for the PS logic games bible - same goes for anyone else.

I'm spending an hour each day so as not to overload myself with info. I'm already scoring fairly high on LR and -2 on RC so I'm debating whether or not I want to venture into the other bibles.

1. I wouldn't say that the PowerScore Workbook is REQUIRED, but you do need to practice more logic games than the few that are provided in the LGB. If you have access to older PrepTests use the games from those; if not, there ARE books of JUST logic games from real PrepTests available on Amazon.

2. My suggestion is to take each chapter of the LGB, one at a time. Skimming the entire bible will give you a good overview of the games section, but I doubt that it will help you improve your score much.

Read a chapter of the LGB, do the questions at the end of it, and read through all of the answer explanations. Then, practice more games of that same type. Do 5-10 more games, and keep doing them until you are able to complete them with 100% accuracy in under 8 minutes and 45 seconds. Then move on to the next chapter.
