Post subject: LSAT Location Not on List?

Hi,
I checked the PDF file at http://lsac.org/LSAT/testing-locations.asp for the Regular Administration Test Center and it had my school listed as one of the February Test Date locations. However, when I go to sign up for the LSATs, my school is not even listed as a possibility (there are test centers grayed out with "unavailable" next to it, but my school is not even listed like that).

Is there a chance that the PDF file is wrong? Or is it full? I thought unavailable meant that it was full.. I didn't realize that it would completely not show up on the list.
Thanks in advance!

There is a good chance it is full. What area of the country are you looking at?

I am looking at a test center in Maryland.

So if it is full they just don't show it on the list? Then what does unavailable mean?

Which location?

I recommend AACCC. I took mine there. Plenty of deskspace.

Don't know, but I remember it not making much sense (what showed up online).
I would call LSAC tomorrow (before they leave for the holidays). Maybe you can get on a waitlist if you need to.

I'm looking at JHU.

haha.. sorry for the questions. :X

I'm a little confused with regards to the signing up process, because it just doesn't seem to make sense.

What is the reason (or the difference) for the disclosed location and non-disclosed locations? I would like to sign up for the June lsat and see that there is an option.

Also-- when do you actually find out where you go? (like the address)

Thanks

For me, it wouldnt show my local university on the list no matter what zip code I put in.
Also, it will show as "unavailable" in the center list.
Look below the center selection table and youll see "search for another test center" - or something like that.

Yes. Just like I said, it doesn't make sense.

February is non-disclosed.
You should be able to see the address on the ticket.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I called today and they just told me that it is not possible to take the test at the location I wanted for the February test date. Even though it is listed as one of the locations for the test on the PDF, they decided that not enough people were going to sign up for it so they removed it as a possible location (what? Seems a little presumptive to me, because I know 3 of my other friends were looking to sign up for the Feb. test and apparently there's never been more than 5 people taking the test at this school on each test date).

I'll probably choose Towson University or U of Baltimore. Does anyone know what those testing centers are like?

Even when I do search for another test center it's just putting in the zip code again, right? Did you ever get it to work? Because maybe the representative is wrong? hahaha... I just really want to take it at my school because it's more convenient for me...
