im at about -10. i have gone through the LRB and have taken a TM course. i know i can do better. does anyone have any suggestions?

some might say that the -10 is probably wat my limit is but i beg to differ and wont give up. im taking the june 2010 test.

TM offers a crap load of LR questions broken by question type and i plan on going through that starting next year.

i know the most obvious ones are go over what u got wrong and right, and take more time to understand the argument. i do do that with the questions but just want to know if there are other methods.

thanks.

Basically prephrasing is when you read a question stem and think about how you'd answer it before you look at the answer choices.

I was in the same boat as you. LR was my weakest subject. However, after doing all the TM supplemental material, I got a lot better. Just make sure you do all the homework and take as much time as you need with each question. Don't time yourself until you can get 9/10 correct. I think I got close to 90% in both my LRs on the december test. That's up from an initial 60% before taking TM.

Edited: Also, make sure you don't check your asnwer with every question. Check your answers with every 10.

Figure out which question types you struggle with the most and let me know and I can try to give you some advice. When I started prepping for the LSAT, i was sitting at about a -10 per section but got to the point of -0 to -2 by the end, so hopefully I can help.

What helped me was reading the question stem first, and then underlining the main conclusion of the argument in the passage. THe way my brain works, that helped me to work out the rest of the nonsense! Good luck.

Just doing as many questions as possible and periodically reviewing batches of the ones you got wrong helps a lot. You start to expect what the correct answer is after a while. Sorry this suggestion isn't formulaic or technique based but I highly recommend it.
