0L posting here.
Most law schools allow leave of absence for upto 2 years. How common is it for 1Ls to take a year or two off after their 1L year (for a very legit reason)? Is this a stupid idea? Will that adversely affect OCI during 2L? Help !!

Bad idea. Keep in mind ABA has 5 year graduation requirement.

Doesn't happen very often.

A "very legit reason" is likely to be sickness/death in the family.
