I feel I lucked out with my exams. CivPro was straight forward. Property will be hard (our professor is insane, in an awesome way, but it makes him tough), but it will at least be doable and an application of rules/principles, LegReg and Ks will be straightforward as well. Not much case memorization needed - just have to cite if its a major rule or you're making an argument from one of the cases.

You're doing it wrong. I'm fairly sure I did it wrong too.

Well, straightforward in that the rules you need to apply are pretty easy to identify, although they aren't always easy to apply.

Unlike, for example, covenants/equitable servitudes/easements and the running of the burden/benefit.

This past week it's been:

Monday/Tuesday - Study for Civ Pro
Wednesday - CivPro
Wednesday night - Go, "Damn, I need to study for Torts, don't I."
Thursday - Study for Torts
Friday - Stare at Torts practice exam (sans answer key) and go WTF?
Saturday morning - Take Torts exam
Saturday afternoon/evening - Doubt Torts answers

In the upcoming week, I think it'll be:

???
Wednesday - Contracts Exam
Thursday - Fly home.

My finals next quarter: T, W, F. The last day of class is the preceeding Friday. I'm going to die. I also have two papers, which is probably going to be the bigger problem (Journal + Seminar), and a workload from my clinical that is expected to be intense next quarter.

It's funny; people who have two finals scheduled for the same day (my school has finals that start at 9:00 and finals that start at 2:00) have a significant advantage, because they get to move one of the "doubled up" exams to the following Monday, which gives them the weekend to prepare for it.

I actually tried to set my class schedule up to take advantage of the "make-up" exam day, but there just wasn't any combination of classes I had any desire to take that worked out.

Open Memo: Week before Thanksgiving Break

Exam 1: Wednesday 2pm. Probably easiest exam.
Exam 2: Take Home, pick up Wed. Due Sat. Middle of the road, takes up lots of time because it is take home.
Exam 3: Tuesday 9am. Civ Pro, open note, could go either way
Exam 4: Friday 2pm, Hardest exam

Pretty decent, although the take-home exam leaves only two days for studying for the 3rd exam (I recognize this is still pretty good).

I thought this sounded way too familiar. So I checked your profile and yep. we go to the same school. Compared to some other people's posted schedules I feel like we have it alright.

I've got four: tuesday and thursday of week one, then a five day take home exam (which I am working on right now!), then the last one is the thursday of week two. Not bad.
