Also, as stated earlier, crossfit workouts are awesome. I started them with a group, and they're quick, easy, and you'll see results fairly rapidly.

Pilates + gym + changing your dietary habits = super fit. Just saying.

I think I gained a good 5-10 pounds this semester. I planned on getting back in shape over winter break, but then I came down with a nasty cold, and then yesterday I bought a PS3, sooooo there goes that plan.

Read everything you can here: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/articles

Run calorie deficits, set your protein levels high, run calorie deficits, set adequate carbohydrate and fat levels, run calorie deficits and you will lose weight.

Also strength train appropriately: http://www.amazon.com/Starting-Strength ... 0976805421 (this goes for both men and women)

+1

It's good to see Lyle getting a mention. I've been on his forum(s) for years.

I will add that I prefer eating every 2-3 hours, since it controls hunger for me better. I am much less likely to go off-diet this way, but it's only a way for me to manage the only real important parameter of calories in minus calories out.

I'm jealous of all the weight gain people. I lost eleven pounds due to finals stress. Food is finally starting to be edible again.

i lost lots of weight (but im happy about it unlike OS)..

i exercise more cuz i have to walk everywhere, i work out more because im so stressed that i get migraines, and i spend so much time in the library where i can't munch and crunch and piss everyone off that i eat less..

this is not at all helpful to OP, but most people I've spoken to have lost weight since they started.. but, maybe you eat more under stress? that's something you need to learn to control in general because a legal career isn't exactly lacking in stress..

If I don't consciously try to control my weight, I will gain. Between school and work, I wind up eating convenience foods a lot of the time and tend to skip cardio. I lift consistently, but I have to fight what I imagine is a bodyweight set point from several years of powerlifting.

While studying makes me forget about eating for awhile, once I stop, I am ravenous. I can easily make up for any missed calories. :D
