So that's one down in the curve, 250ish to go lol. In all seriousness though, I f-ed up pretty bad too. I studied somewhat and knew the major shit. I still ended up making MAJOR tangible errors on the exams themselves, so it's not one of those situations where I can think "hey, maybe he'll like my answer."

I picked contemplating killing self on the tree of woe btw.

I think I did pretty well on 5/6 finals. However, in every class there are people thinking the same thing. I could do really well, or I could be median... Who the fuck knows. I am going to stay positive for the moment, though.

1. Not sure how the "everything will be fine" option is incredibly naive, unless your only definition of fine is big law. In which case, I am sorry for your life.

2. I did what I did and got what I got. I put in (what I believe was) enough effort -- not the most, not the least. We'll see how I did.

LRW - did well
K - who the f knows? Prof hid the ball. Everyone was pissed. No one seemed to know what he wanted.
CP - Pretty sure I did well enough to pass, which is all I can ask for.
LegReg - Did at least well enough to pass, but felt the best after this exam.
Property - Hard exam. Impossible to tell. I think I did enough to pass, but you never know...

3. Let's stop thinking about it and enjoy our freedom while we can.

Good outlook. If at the end of the day you are happy with the effort you put in, then you are in good shape. I think there are significant diminishing returns to work in law school and after a certain threshold, you spin your wheels. Some are willing to do that to move forward one more inch; I am not.

This is why you're the first law student to make partner while still in law school.

I think I did horribly and I would not be surprised to see some B-s on my transcript. But I've never accurately predicted my grades before so it's really just an exercise in futility.

Troof. I expect to get three more points in the partnership next semester just by being me.

TITCR. We got crappy grades or we got good grades or we got 'meh' grades, but at the end of the day we're going to have to live with ourselves no matter what.

I can say two things for sure:

First, I have no idea how well I did, really could be anywhere.

Second, I gave it an honest effort and worked as hard as I intended, so I'm content no matter what.

Unfortunately, those zen thoughts can't stop the bad dreams -.-

I'm so zenned out right now that I neither know or care how I did. There are so many more important things... sex, football, sleep, beer (not necessarily in that order).

Though I can say that the deepest circle of Hell is reserved for gunners. I'm talking like wedged in between Satan's butt cheeks. Those kids are so obnoxious that they diminish the quality of my zenning out. They need to just relax and enjoy the (extremely overpriced) ride.

Civ Pro - Exam was nothing like the professor's old exams. Multiple choice were really hard. Still, I think I handled the essays as well as I could.
Torts - Two people in my study group were laughing about how some people found a battery issue on the exam. Battery was a prominent issue on mine. So, that could be good for me or bad for me.
Crim - Our professor threw us a total curveball on one of the essays. I think I did pretty well. A few people left the exam an hour early (wtf?), which makes me feel good, because I was typing just about right up until time was called.
Contracts - Bomb city. I got all confused and discombobulated during the exam and I know it shows. I sort of freaked out mid-exam and that has never happened to me before in my life, so that was weird. I think I did pretty well on the multiple choice but terrible on the essays. No one felt good about this one, though.

I could have done poorly, I could have done very well. I have no idea. While I got to law school with dreams of law review and BigLaw, right now I would be happy with B's and keeping my scholarship, to be honest. I think I did my best, though. While some of my friends were going out on the weekends leading up to the exam I was staying in with my E&E's, so I hope that helped. Next semester I'm going to start outlining earlier.

Worked hard all semester and felt comfortable with all the material. Aside from one curveball issue in civ pro, wasn't surprised by anything on the exams. Happy with the fact that whatever grades I get will be the result of other people just plain writing better exams and not my screwing up...

I feel this way about my torts and crim exams. I knew the material and think I hit a lot of it on the exams. If I don't do better than median, so be it, I'll tip my cap to the rest of the class.

Stuff like adding a new provision to the rules we'd learned and applying it to different kinds of defenses where it worked in different ways, combining different sorts of presumptions for different elements in ways that hadn't been explored in our cases... I guess these weren't really that tough, but I mean, every exam had an issue I hadn't fully anticipated, at least.

Hmm... interesting.

Our "curveballs" were policy question from a prof that was admittedly anti-policy (was a prosecutor.. though was a Stanford grad so should have expected it), a question about whether the substantive due process rights were violated in the detainee habeas trials SCOTUS refused to address in Iqbal, and that's about it... Otherwise straightforward.. though Ks M/C were potentially brutal

lmao, 28 votes on TLS - notorious for inaccurate polls - and not a single person has picked 'i pwned everything. my life is full of win.'

Yup. That's law school.

I'm expecting the worst. Honestly, I think I knew all of the material on the exams and answered all of the questions correctly. The problem is that everyone else in my class felt the same way--and some classmates had higher word counts :(

This. It doesn't matter how well I did, it matters how well my classmates did relative to me, so I just have to wait and see what happens.
