I've been offered a very enticing scholarship at UVA, but I am strongly leaning toward deferring for a year. UVA's website states that merit aid deferrals are considered on a case-by-case basis. Have any of you UVA TLSers successfully deferred merit aid, and if you have, could you PM me specifics about your situation?

Tell them to defer your aid to me.

That would make my decision much less complicated. You get money, and I have a decision made for me! Win win!

I only know of one person who deferred entry, and don't know of anyone who deferred and who was orginially awarded merit aid. You'd have to ask the admissions office.
