Can't we all just be happy and live where we want without others telling us where we live sucks? Sheesh.

where you live in Cali, it sucks...where i will live in Cali, is awesome

Do people in California really call it Cali now, for some strange reason that bothers me, when I moved away ten years ago only people in other parts of the country trying to sound hip called California Cali. We said NorCal and SoCal, or California to refer to the state in general.

Biggie called it Cali, and that seems good enough for me. FWIW, it was a joke

next question: does ANYONE use the word "hip" anymore? for some strange reason, if i didn't just do shrooms, it bothers me

and if you *did* just do 'shrooms, you're like, man, i'm trippin' ballz this is so hip!???!?

You obviously have never lived here.

I am a Californian that just spent the past week in the South. call me crazy, but the South > California, seriously.

Crazy

What part of California are you from? Where in the south?
You have to be more specific because California is huge and has a variety of different places that differ in kind anywhere from Los Angeles to the middle of nowhere farm country...so if I lived somewhere in Bakersfield the south would also be highly attractive.

I do agree that California is not all that it is cracked up to be....I like the east.

Whenever I hear/see someone call a place Cali, my first thought is that they're referring to the city in Colombia.

I am a Southerner who has spent the last 2 years in CA. You are crazy.

It hasn't fallen off into the pacific ocean. yet.

Supposedly San Francisco is the part that will break off when the plates shift and eventually end up with Alaska....which means the Bay will perish, because the rest of it sucks huge balls. Honestly though, SF is the only reason why California is considered a decent place to live. The rest of it pretty much blows and we both know that unless you make a good amount of money, you will most likely be living in a dumpy studio in the Tenderloin district in SF anyway.

You should all be looking at the PNW or Mountain region for a much higher COL.
/trolling.

The plate California sits on is not going to separate from the rest of the United States. The plate is going under not pulling away.

I will probably be leaving California for law school. Might come back might not.

Haha, no, in fact that may have been one of the first times I have ever used the word "hip," but it seemed like the appropriate word choice. What would you have preferred?

Maybe at my advanced age of 25 I'm just not hip to the current trends in slang.

California is alright. I'd love to be prosecutor or public defender here. I'd always be employed, lol.

Once we legalize marijuana and allow same sex marriage, we'll be an even better place!

CA is running out of water. Ergo, it fails.
